Hot Spiced Apple Cider
Ingredients:
1 quart apple cider
3 (3-inch each) cinnamon sticks
2 whole cloves
1 orange, sliced
2 (3-inch) strips orange peel for garnish
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a large saucepan or pot and bring to medium-high heat. Once simmering, cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.
Serve hot on its own or add a dash of bourbon to make it a boozy hot toddy.
For entertaining, you can keep the cider warm in a slow cooker or on the lowest setting on the stovetop.
